Newest Member of our Team: Zara
Welcome to Collectivity’s new team member, Zara Zanussi! Zara has a background in international development, nonprofit management, evaluation, and education. Zara holds a Master's degree in Comparative International Development Education and a minor in Program Evaluation from the University of Minnesota, as well as a B.A. in Music and International Business with a minor in Spanish from Luther College. Zara founded ComMUSICation, a music-for-social change youth development program whose mission is to amplify young voices in community and cultivate skills for success through equitable access to music, collaboration, and opportunity in St. Paul where she served as the Executive Director for 8.5 years.
As a musician, Zara studied both piano and voice at Luther. She has sung on four continents and in a previous role served as an accompanist for several churches and events. She taught music around the globe in her first business Z's Keys, which won two entrepreneurial awards for her Skype lessons program. Zara also sings alto with the Minnesota Chorale and See Change Treble Choir, where she serves as Vice President on their Board of Directors.
In her spare time, Zara loves being active in nature year-round, including hammock reading, lake walks, biking, skiing, vegan potlucks and salsa dancing! Zara is excited about helping clients evaluate their impact and is particularly keen on Collectivity’s education, equity, and collective impact projects.
