We believe that change comes from collective action.

Effective organizations that work together will create changes at a systems level which will drive changes at a population level. Our goal is to create conditions for this to occur. Collectivity is a consulting cooperative that helps organizations build operational capacity to accelerate mission, and effectively collaborate to deliver impact.

 OUR VALUES

COLLABORATION

System-level change can only happen if we work together. Organized as a cooperative, collaboration is in our DNA.

EQUITY

We cannot be the best we can be until we all experience equity. We follow the lead of people of color, women, and listen to our community. We define success by how power shifts to fulfill this goal.

GRATITUDE

We are inspired, humbled, and grateful for our clients. They drive change and ignite our passion for their work.

Collectivity = Cooperative

Since its inception in 2014, Collectivity has been organized as a multi-stakeholder cooperative designed to meet both economic and social goals of our community, by meeting the needs of its member-owners. Learn more about what being a worker co-op means to Collectivity and how we aim to build a better world through cooperation.

Our Work and Racial Justice

The National Education Association defines Racial Justice as the systemic fair treatment of people of all races, resulting in equitable opportunities and outcomes for all people.

At Collectivity, we recognize that, in this country, rights have been systematically denied to large groups of people because of their race and that these groups live with the sequels of this injustice every day. We continue our work to understand what justice means to us as individuals, and as a company, so we can center the services we deliver, and the way we do our work toward achieving true racial justice. We understand that systems level change is difficult and takes time—often many lifetimes.

48% of Collectivity clients are BIPOC or women-led

Bringing all Voices to the Table

We acknowledge that, in order for us to serve our clients, we need to listen and learn from the widest array of voices in our community and beyond. Perspectives and representation are critical and central to all aspects of the work that we do.

One literal table we invite community members to join is our quarterly salon series. Initiated at a 2022 year end retreat, we wondered about how we might bring thought leaders together for intentional conversations about challenges we are facing in our communities. We landed on the idea of hosting a series of conversation circles that would be casual from a social perspective, but intentional from an “intellectual” perspective. Read previous salon summaries and contact Collectivity regarding invitations to future salons.
