Kicking Off the Elevate Teaching Teacher Marketing and Outreach Campaign

The Elevate Teaching movement has been able to pick-up and run with additional funding from PELSB to implement a Teacher Marketing and Outreach Campaign through June of 2025! We are so thrilled to be working alongside Dr. Rose Chu and Plum Blossom Strategy on a continuation of the foundation laid by the Elevate Teaching work. It’s a true collaboration, where our teams come together to mobilize individuals, especially from BIPOC communities, to be champions of the teaching profession. Through this movement, the aim is to transform the public narrative about the profession and to elevate teaching to the reverence it deserves for our children and in our society, starting in Minnesota. We need everyone’s collaboration to make this movement a success.

Everyone is invited to champion the teaching profession. We invite you to explore the legacy, join the community, and seize the opportunity that the teaching profession provides.

You can take action by:

✏️Sharing Your Inspiring Teacher Story

📣 Nominating a Teacher to be Recognized

🏆Become a Champion for Teachers

🎉Celebrating the Teachers in your Community who embody one our key messages

We encourage you to explore the messages and find one or more that resonate with you!

The six messages are: Teaching is Creative. Teaching is Legacy. Teaching is Teamwork. Teaching is Community Building. Teaching is Opportunity. Teaching is Evolving.

A great time to start is Teacher Appreciation Week, happening the first full week of May (May 6th-10th, 2024). This is an opportunity to recognize the incredible work that educators have done to support the common good. Collectivity and Plum Blossom Strategy are working in collaboration on the Elevate Teaching movement and want to elevate the wonderful contributions of educators. We would love for you to take this opportunity to nominate a teacher that you recognize embodying one of the six key messages! Submit your story or nomination here.
